I just had my Heating plus Air Conditioning system inspected last week, plus the Heating plus Air Conditioning serviceman told me that my boiler was over 8 years old; He wasn’t upset about it, however he told me the age within our conversation plus it made me realize how ancient my boiler was, then before that moment, I didn’t know how ancient my boiler was because nothing made me guess about it; My boiler provided heat efficiently for my loft plus I was cheerful with how it ran, so there was no reason for me to consider it’s age.
8 years is mid-age for a heater, which is why the number caught me by surprise; Although my boiler was running just fine, it sent me into shock plus I decided to start dedicating more time into keeping it clean, but i did some research plus found easy plus safe ways to keep my boiler clean, which I just did a few days ago, then the first thing I did was shut off my boiler completely; Next, I took a brush plus soapy water plus cleaned the combustion chamber.
It took some time to find it, but when I did, I gave it a wonderful scrub. Then, I purchased a new air filter plus replaced the ancient one with it. The Heating plus Air Conditioning professional did not include a new air filter with his servicing, so it was important that I replace it myself, and lastly, I vacuumed out the air vents inside my house. I was surprised by how much dust plus debri was caught in the air vents, but I felt relieved once it was all sucked up; Cleaning my boiler gives me peace of mind that I’m doing all I can to keep it running at it’s best.
