During my last Heating, Ventilation & A/C tune up, right before the fall season, the Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional asked if she could look at my thermostat.
She wanted to adjust the temperature settings in order to analyze all the parts & pieces.
This was the best way for him to make sure that all the Heating, Ventilation & A/C component was working typically! When I showed him my thermostat, she asked me if I knew how ancient it was. The thermostat came with the cabin when I moved in, so I had no idea about the history of the thermostat. The Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional told me that it appeared to be actually ancient & although it was technically doing it’s task, it wasn’t benefiting me in any way. I had no idea what she was talking about because it was just a thermostat. She then went into detail about the benefits of a smart thermostat. Her list sounded like a mile long & it was actually hard to keep up with everything she was throwing at me. The Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional told me things like GEOcaching, programmable settings, cell iPhone apps, & virtual access from somewhere at any time. The smart thermostat sounded amazing, although I was actually interested in the price, and before Telling me the price, the Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional told me about the currency savings I could experience in the long run by upgrading to a smart thermostat. Then, she threw a generic price range for the odd smart thermostats on the market. It all sounded amazing, so I told him that I would think about it. I wanted to do my own research on smart thermostats before committing.
